Jordan: I'd have to choose my Bounder to be a Fireball Pixie. They may be cute and ellegant, but deadly. I love it how they explode! It could help me get out of trouble by blowing up to protect me. (I would choose Snatchers but I don't know if there fairies or creatures)
Author's Note:
Snatchers are definitely of the faerie realm, so you'd be safe there. But a Fireball Pixie isn't a bad fall back position.
Kuet: I would love to have a Kobold. They are strong and can see through walls. That would come in handy if I wanted see my gifts this Christmas (like Grey Griffins Book 4 hopefully). And they immune to iron. The only down is keeping a faerie in my two bedroom apartment.
Author's Note:
Keeping a faerie hidden somewhere, whether it be a 6000 square foot mansion, or a studio loft in New York City could be a difficult proposition -- especially since they can get themselves into trouble. If they would manage to escape, watch out!
Emlyn: I am of two minds in the matter of faerie bonders. While a dark and mean Goblin or Ice Imp sounds appealing, so does a cute little Quivering Quillback.
Goblins and Ice Imps would be great fighters and protectors of me, if someone could see it, their first reaction would be to throw iron at it, wouldn't it? I would hate for my Bounder to get hurt! Also, anyone capable of seeing faeries wouldn't think me a very nice or sociable person if they saw a Goblin or Ice Imp following me around, now would they?
While Quivering Quillbacks probably don't do as good of a job in the protecting field, they sound so cute! And they would be real easy to hide - they are so difficult to see in the first place! And they're not very intimidating, so people who can see them wouldn't want to attack them (or would they) so I don't have to worry about them getting hurt, do I? And, again, they are sooo adorably cute!
Author's Note:
You certainly have a quandry on your hands! But you get marks for being the first to (potentially) select a Quivering Quillback!
Lyle: If I could have a Bounder Faerie I would have a Frost Dragon, one about the size of a school bus so I could ride it to school and anywhere else. Also beacause they are big with razor sharp teeth, talons, and inteligence.
Author's Note:
Very nice! You wouldn't happen to be related to Vlad the Impaler, would you? We actually met someone who was!
Alex: I would choose a Spriggan.
Author's Note:
Alex, that was to the point. And you're helping Spriggans catch up to Gargoyles as the most popular choice so far . . .
Strinaldi: Hmmm . . . I would have to choose Oberoen, but if I couldn't I would choose a Slayer Goblin from Oberoen's Hounds because I am naturally vicious and extremely vicious when I'm in a bad mood. When I get angry I feel like Ray Fisher when he was a monster.
Author's Note:
Wow, remind us not to get you angry. And you are right . . . Oberon is beyond being able to be bound to a human, but Slayer Goblins are certainly available (if not a bit freaky). Yikes!

D Piv: I think I would like to be bound to either a small dragon, a werewolf or a gargoyle. Because all three of them would be fun to be with and they would be sure to be able to protect me.
Author's Note:
The way we've set up our world, dragons and gargoyles are a go, but werewolves are classified as monsters, so they have to be taken off the list. Great choices, though!
Chris: I'd pick a Spriggan, because they can open up portals. So if I wanted to go to Germany, I'd be their in less than a minute but it would probably be hard to find so you could go cause it could lock your cat in a closet and pretend to be your cat and they have their own free will.
Author's Note:
More Spriggans. Wow. What a popular choice!
Grey Griffins Fanatic18: My favorite mythical creatures are griffins, dragons, and pixies. Griffins are considered beasts so they can not be bounded like faeries can. Dragons would be great to have around, but feeding them and hiding them would be a problem. Pixies, in my opinion, would be great Bounders. I would like my pixie to be like Honeysuckle, Brooke's Bounder. She would be clad in blue, have hazel eyes, and curly brown hair. Spriggans would also be great Bounders. They can open up portals and shapeshift!!!!!!!!! How cool is that?????!!!!!!!!!
Author's Note:
That is VERY cool. And your choice is cool. Pixies could be advantageous, because they are easy to hide, and are very powerful for their size!
Rylie:I would pick two: a Spriggan, and a Tundra Troll.
Author's Note:
Unfortunately the rules of binding prohibit two faerie creatures to be bound to a single human, so you'll have to stick with one. Either would be a great choice, though!
andr9020:It would be a Slayer Goblin.
Author's Note:
Yikes!
Dawn G.:I would definitely choose a Spriggan because they are mischievous and shape shifters.
Author's Note:
Looks like Spriggans are pulling way ahead of gargoyles now.
Kelsey:I think my Bounder would either be a dragon or a Fireball Pixie. Why? A dragon would be a really cool Bounder . . . strong, swift, and fierce -- and I always loved dragons! They are so cool! And I would choose a Fireball Pixie because they are powerful! If someone was hurting me then the pixie would give them a reason to stop! They would be running soooo fast!
Author's Note:
Wow. So your options are power and intimidating, or power and stealth. Hard choice!
Danielle:I would pick a Griffin. You've got to admit they're awsome. I mean a mix between an eagle and a lion . . . that's so cool!!!!
Author's Note:
Griffins are absolutely the most regal creature in all of mythology! Check out the entry for Griffins at Wikipedia here. They have a fascinating history.

Laura:I had a thought I would have a Snatcher for my Bounder so it would scare the (stuffing) out of my enemies.
Author's Note:
A Snatcher could certainly do that!
John G.: I would have a Spriggen (as my Bounder Faerie) because they can prank my big bro.
Author's Note:
That they certainly could!
caution98: If I had a Bounder Faerie, I would pick either a Bone Cruncher or an Iron Maiden. I would pick a Bone Cruncher because for one they are totally awsome, and second I could hide in the woods around my house no one would want to mess with me. As for an Iron Maiden, their name reminds me of the song Iron Man (which is a great song), and also they are so huge that they would scare off any one that would want to mess with me (except maybe a Bone Cruncher -- that would be an awesome fight).
Author's Note:
An awesome fight, indeed. And that song (Iron Man) is pretty great. The way they've incorporated it in the Iron Man movie previews is really cool.
Sharon H.: What more can you want than a giant fire breathing cat with a cobra for a tail? Chimeras are the best Bounders ever !!!!!!!!!! You should put one in the next Grey Griffins book.
Author's Note:
Chimeras are definitely amazing creatures. And stay tuned . . . you just might meet a Chimera in the world of the Griffins soon.
Munch: I would like a Spriggan to be my Bounder Faerie. This is because then she/he can be named Sprig. I love Spriggans!
Author's Note:
Sprig is definitely honored.
craiges: My Bounder would have to be a mysical horse or a Fireball Pixie. They are so interesting to learn about!
Author's Note:
Cryptozoology is super cool!
Gibson: I would pick a Phoenix. They are so beautiful with their long, golden and scarlet feathers. They can disappear and reappear at will (sort of like Sprig). Their song is so magical that it can give courage to the pure of heart while striking fear into the hearts of the impure. Not only that but they can be reborn if they die and they have healing tears. How excellent would it be never to have to go to the doctor and be sick again?
Author's Note:
You have certainly made a compelling point for everyone to pick a Phoenix!
Knightomoro: For a Bounder, my choice would be a Spriggan because they can change shapes and take you anywhere. It would be tough to keep it out of trouble though.
Author's Note:
Too true. The emotions of a Faerie are entirely unpredictable, and even with a Faerie that is "bound", it is no easy task managing their moods from moment to moment -- especially Spriggans, which are particularly tempermental. Luckily though, their mischief is generally rooted in practical jokes, and is not mean-spirited.
Jandbgoodrich: My Bounder would probably be an Ice Imp because they are kind of small and mean they can kill things quick.
Author's Note:
That's a scary thought, but probably true.
Matthew F.: I would say a dragon, but they're way too big. So it would have to be a spriggan because (1) they're so cute; (2) I could teleport; and (3) they can shapeshift!
Author's Note:
A young man with sound logic.
Draco o' the Irish Sea: If were to choose a Bounder, it would be, though not in the books, a kelpie. Kelpies are generally dangerous or evil, but some have been tamed and softened by those who are of pure heart. They are shape-shifters that love and live in the water, usually in the form of a handsome (or beautiful) horse, but can take the form of any thing they wish. The reason of my choice is that, I LOVE THE WATER TOO. It would make the perfect match.
Author's Note:
Excellent. It is fantastic to have one who is pure at heart take part in our survey. Our first introduction to kelpies was from Brian Froud's Faeries book. If you haven't seen it, you definitely should check it out!
Charles: I would choose a Doppleganger or a Spriggan. I would definatly pick a Doppleganger if it could take the powers of the Fairie it changes into because it could turn into a Spriggan and open portals for me. If Dopplegangers can't take powers, I would pick a Spriggan. Either one would be easy to hide because it could turn into a cat and follow me around.
Author's Note:
You have brought up an interesting point. Dopplegangers can take on a limited level of powerf from the creature they replicate. Spriggans are also limited, but by their nature, retain a higher level of power from whatever it is that they shift into. So given that fact, it would appear you will choose a Spriggan. Great choice!
Cheo: I reckon that either a Sand or Frost Dragon would be good because dragons are cool and very strong and wise and would make very good companions.
Author's Note:
Dragons rock!
Joe N.: I would choose either a Lightning Dragon (preferably a light blue dragon with gold claws, arm wings, and the ability to breathe lightnig -- that would be awsome!!!). Or I'd pick a Fireball Pixie because they can fly really fast while consumed in fire :) You see my problem in deciding right?
Author's Note:
Of course we do. But the truth is that the Lightning Dragon sounds too cool to pass up.
Tim W.: I would choose a Doppleganger so that it can be whatever I want it to be -- a werewolf... a vampire or maybe both into one (a Werepyre). It can even turn into Malice Striker. Whatever I wanted and it would protect me whenever I needed it.
Author's Note:
Excellent creativty. A Doppleganger would suit you well, as a Werepyre is quite interesting. Becoming Malice Striker might be beyond the capabilities of a Doppleganger, though. But your logic is sound.
Michael S.: I would definately have a Pixie for a Bounder Faerie. I could hide her in my pocket and take her everywhere with me. Plus, I would get a highly powerful (but still sweet, nice, young, and cute) one that could shape shift, fly at super speed, teleport, talk telepathically with me, and do all other sorts of amazing magic! She could do anything and would be with me forever. That would be so awesome!
Author's Note:
Nice. Stealth is important!
