SUGGESTED READS
Twilight series (Stephenie Meyer)
Believe it or night it is a vampire/romance/adventure/suspense kinda story.  If you would have told me I'd get hooked on the series, I would have told you you're crazy.  But this new author knows her stuff.  The series is addictive, not just to the teens (I've even had boys read the series) but to the adults too!  They even have a movie coming out in December . . . They call Stephenie Meyer the J.K. Rowling of America!

Maximum Ride series (James Patterson)
It's about these genetically enhanced kids who have some awesome physical abilities.  They are on the run from the very people who created them, and plus they are trying to save the world... Oh yeah, did I mention that they have wings and can fly?  Sounds like a nutty series, but it is awesome! There is adventure, humor, suspense from cover to cover.

Underland Chronicles (Suzanne Collins)
Gregor is watching his sister Boots one day when she accidentally gets sucked down an air duct.  He goes after her and finds a whole society of people living under the city.  I say people loosely because the people don't look at all like us, plus there are giant cockroachs (the good guys), giant rats (who are nasty bad guys), and giant spiders . . . plus a whole wealth of other creatures that I wouldn't ever want to be real.

  Stoneheart (Charlie Fletcher)
It's about statues in London coming to life (think about some of the cool statues they have in London, like gargoyles and dragons and soldiers--sufficiently creepy material) . . . they are after young George, and you have to read the book to find out why.  It's very good!

The Warriors series (Erin Hunter)

Alex Rider series (Anthony Horowitz)

Warrior Heir series (Cinda Williams Chima)
