    MORE BOOKS
Louie F.: I am a 9 year old kid reading your books, and I really really like them and have all 3. I see the picture in my head (as I read it, and) it really helps me see the picture that you wrote. But I was wondering if you and Derek could write more books sence I am almost done with (all of yours so far)?

Jon: The good news is that we're working on the fourth Grey Griffins book right now. It's due on August 1, so we'll be wrapping it up soon. And there will be AT LEAST two more Grey Griffins books after that. We'll be tackling the Grey Griffins one trilogy at a time, and then take a look at where we think the story should go after each three books.

Here's more ideas for Grey Griffins books we've been talking about:
    • The Secret Files of the Grey Griffins (shorter, action-oriented adventures with lots of pen & ink drawings)
    • Grey Griffins comic books & graphic novels
    • The Natalia Romanov Detective Series
    • The (Mis)Adventures of Agent Thunderbolt (Ernie)
    • A prequel in the style of Tolkien about the War of the Jewel of Titania
    • A series featuring William Caliburn (Max's grandfather) and Olaf "Iver" Iverson during the war, fighting the Black Wolf Society
    • A Vlad Dracula trilogy
    • A replica of the Codex Spiritus
    • The Round Table Creature Compendium
    • Avalon Academy Yearbook
I'm also working on three other books at the same time, and Derek's been working on his own series, too. So hopefully you?ll have access to TONS of books from us.

    ERNIE THE CHANGELING
Alexa: Will Ernie become a full faerie?

Derek: I hope the Templar Knights find a way to prevent him from becoming a full faerie creature. That would be bad, as I don't think there would be a chance for him after that happened. And think about his parents... I mean, how do you explain it to them?

MORE ON ERNIE THE CHANGELING . . . AND EXCALIBUR
Nolan: Will they find Excalibur, like they found Ragnorak? And what will happen to Ernie while he has his powers?

Derek: Good catch on Excalibur. You are dangerously close to what may happen. But we can't talk about it. Super secret. And Ernie is in a dangerous spot with his powers. The more he uses them, the more he loses his old self. There's only three possible solutions: he changes completely into a faerie creature, OR someone takes all the enchantment and powers away from him, OR Ernie finds help to keep his changing and his powers where they are at right now (while he still has cool powers and isn't completely a faerie creature). Stay tuned!

    KIDS GETTING PUBLISHED
hamy2k7: I am writing a book called The Legend of Trek. I've already written six chapters and typed four. I love your books, and I would love to hear from you about how you wrote them. Also do you have any advice? Would publishers be interested in publishing my book? Is there an age limit?

Jon: These are great questions, and the good news is that I am writing a monthly article on the Grey Griffins website called How to Get Published. I've also interviewed quite a few of my friends in the publishing industry, and will be interviewing more all the time. Thay way you can get advice from them as well.

    NORSE MYTHOLOGY
William T.: I noticed a lot of refferences to Scandanavian Mythology in the books (i.e. Yggdrasil the tree of life, Ragnarok, the Eye of Odin).  Is there any reason behind that?

Jon: Sure. Lots. Tolkien used it, and anything Tolkien did is good for us. We're also from a part of the country with a large number of Scandanvian immigrants. I also have Norse descent, so it's a fairly natural fit. There are probably more reasons, but that?s a good start.
